Swollen stomach led to diagnosis
For the first few weeks after birth, everything seemed normal. They named their daughter Navraj Kaur, something they lovingly decided before she was even born. They were excited for their life ahead. But then, her stomach began to swell unnaturally.
“At first, everyone told us it was just gas. We went to three doctors for opinion. I kept believing them because I wanted to believe nothing was wrong. But the swelling didn’t stop, and Navraj kept crying inconsolably, day and night. She was in pain, and we didn’t know what it was.” - Simran
Fighting for her life in the ICU
A scan finally revealed the truth. Her liver was severely enlarged, and she suffers from neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting her liver. Navraj was immediately shifted to the ICU where her tiny body struggles to breathe on its own. She is on ventilator support with a tube through her nose that feeds her.
She urgently needs chemotherapy and surgery to survive. But the cost of treatment is far beyond what her parents can afford.

Ravinder spends his days running between the hospital and his workplace at a bike agency, earning just ₹10,000 a month. Simran spends her entire day in the hospital waiting hall, staring at the ICU doors, praying for a chance to see her daughter up close.
