Help Shahrukh Ali Walk Again and Pursue His Dream
My name is Kunal, and I am volunteering as the manager for Mir Rajak Ali, a folk singer from Poogal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. Mir Rajak Ali belongs to the marginalized Mirasi community, renowned for their rich oral tradition of Sufi music and Kabir bhajans.
Tragically, his 12-year-old son, Shahrukh Ali, who is following in his father’s footsteps as a singer, needs medical treatment. Shahrukh is currently undergoing treatment at HAH Centenary Hospital in New Delhi for a critical leg surgery to correct post-traumatic equinus deformity.
Shahrukh's Story
A few years ago, Shahrukh was in a severe bus accident that fractured his femur. Complications and infections from the injury left him unable to walk properly. As he grows older, this condition will worsen, affecting not only his mobility but also his dream of becoming a great Sufi singer like his father.
This surgery is crucial to saving Shahrukh’s future, enabling him to walk, grow, and pursue his passion for music.
The Need
The hospital has estimated the total cost of treatment at ₹1,50,000. Additionally, there are expenses for transport, food, and accommodation in Delhi, amounting to another ₹50,000, bringing the total to ₹2,00,000.
For a family struggling to make ends meet with dying folk music, this is an impossible sum. Your support can help us bridge this gap and ensure Shahrukh receives the care he urgently needs.
