Help Nayeem Give Hundreds Of Slum Dwellers Free Medicines & A Healthier Life

“I would see pregnant women walking for 3-4 kms to reach the hospital for their check-ups. The roads are so bad that no bus could go through, and auto rickshaws are too expensive for them. They had no other choice. So many people from the slums, despite suffering from illnesses, have to travel long distances and spend money they don’t have to get checked. My parents went through the same thing, and I knew how difficult it is. I didn’t want anyone else to suffer.” - Shaik Nayeem, Founder, Kriya Sangh Society Charitable Health Care Centre.

Nayeem started Kriya Sangh Society Charitable Health Care Centre in 2016 to give underprivileged people access to the medical care they deserve. Since then, he has helped hundreds of people get affordable and even free medical care. Nayeem now needs your help to continue this selfless service.

Nayeem Always Dreamt Of Helping Those In Need

Nayeem’s childhood wasn’t easy. Growing up in a slum, his parents and him faced many hurdles every day. Whether it’s affording food, education or medicines, there was never a day without pain and suffering.

“I spent most of my childhood taking my parents to the hospital. I was only 12, and there were many days where I missed school to take care of them. They both were very sick, and we had no one else to help us. I wanted to be a doctor, help people, but my parents just couldn’t afford to send me to college.”

After class 10, Nayeem started working to support his parents. In 2005, he started Kriya Sangh Society, an NGO that focuses on health, education and livelihood development of the people living in the slums of Hyderabad. Under this, he started the KSS Charitable Health Care Centre in 2016.

KSS Charitable Health Care Centre was started as an OPD that was open two times a week and now is open every day, from morning till evening. They charge Rs. 20 for their medical services and have five experienced doctors. They have general physicians, gynaecologists, ENT specialists, physiotherapists and other experts. More than 100 people visit the clinic every day.

However, Nayeem Now Faces Challenges

“The pandemic has been a difficult time. Those who used to donate and support us were also going through their own struggles, so we found it difficult to keep the clinic up and running. Although things are slowly getting better now, we still need help to give hundreds of people from the slums better healthcare.”

Nayeem now needs your help to get medicines and BP machines among others so that they can continue their service of giving medical care to hundreds of people from the slums of Hyderabad. These people struggle to afford the most basic necessities on a day to day basis, good healthcare is beyond their means. Nayeem can give them a better life with your help.
