Story of the campaigner
Despite making progress on many fronts, there continues to be an immense amount of stigma around women and their menstrual health. In rural India, there are lakhs of women who have no access to period products or have no awareness about menstrual hygiene.
Period poverty is one of the many challenges women face on an everyday basis. Several of them are deprived of even the most basic resources, and due to their lack of access and awareness, they’re left with nothing.
They Don’t Have Access To Even The Basics
There are about 662 million women in India. Most of whom have to overcome many challenges. Whether it’s being abandoned for being intellectually challenged or mentally ill, forced to beg on the streets to feed their families, or have no access to sanitation, thousands and thousands of women live a life of poverty and difficulty.

Every woman deserves equal opportunities and equal access to essentials. Now is the time for us to come together to ensure that every abandoned, destitute, and helpless woman gets the help she needs.
