Support Rural Children with Education Materials

IFTR believes in the following. Everyone has the right to education. Education is a basic human right for all and is important for everyone to make the most of their lives. Having an education helps people to access all of their other human rights. Education improves an individual’s chances in life and helps to tackle poverty, decreases social inequalities, empowers women and helps each individual reach their full potential. It also brings significant economic returns for a country and helps societies to achieve lasting peace and sustainable development.

Every person is entitled to quality education. While Governments strive to provide good quality education there are support systems required in different quarters including maintenance and upkeep of the infrastructure, providing advanced facilities to the schools including smart classrooms, library, audio-visual support, safe drinking water, sanitation, hygiene, good nutritious food, green environment, security etc. Apart from this school students also need support in purchasing the consumables including notebooks, drawing notes, geometry boxes, scales, pencils, rubber, pens, etc. As part of the societal development, IFTR engages in those areas that are not addressed by the Government or other agencies. After due diligence, the support is provided in the form of materials to all the students.

This campaign started as a result of distribution of Notebooks to the Students of Government Primary School, V. Veppangudi, Karur District, Tamilnadu. There were requests from schools adjoining the villages and thus started this campaign.

This is a school in a remote village and has only very less number of students. After getting a request from the villagers, IFTR has helped the school students to get the following.
