There was a time when Anchal Sharma did not know if she would survive. Canc*r took her hair, her strength, and her courage. She was unsure if she would live long enough to see her family again. Every day felt uncertain and painful.
Just one week after her diagnos*s, while returning home from treatment, something happened that changed her life forever. She saw a group of small children sitting on the roadside. They looked hungry and exhausted. Their eyes showed one question, whether they would get food that day or not.
Anchal says, “That day, I felt their hunger was deeper than my pain.”
This moment became the start of Meals of Happiness.
How a small act of kindness grew into a mission
Anchal survived third stage brest cancr in 2017. After her recovery, she decided to dedicate her life to helping people who have nothing, especially children living on the streets. She started by cooking food herself and visiting slums to distribute meals.
“So many people cannot even afford normal food. We try our best to get meals to them and also give ration so they can cook for themselves,” she says.
What began with a small pot of food has now grown into something powerful. Meals of Happiness has served over 2 crore meals to underprivileged children and families.
Children who depend completely on her
Every day, around 300 children wait for Anchal and her team. These are children from slums and streets, children whose parents are too poor to feed them, and children who would often sleep hungry without her support.
Some are abandoned. Some live without shelter. Many go days with no proper food.
For them, a plate from Meals of Happiness is not just food. It is safety, hope, and survival.

FAQs
After you complete your donation successfully, you will find the 'GET 80G' button on the payment success page. Please fill in your PAN number, complete address, and name as per PAN and submit. Your 80G certificate will be generated and sent via email within 24 hours.
Alternatively, you can get your 80G receipt in a few simple steps:
- Log in to your account using the same email ID you used for the donation
- Go to ‘My Donations’
- Choose the financial year for which you'd like the donation certificate
- Click on ‘Download 80G Certificate’
- Fill out the Form (if required)
- Submit the form and 80G will get downloaded instantly
Instead of receiving separate 80G certificates for each donation, you'll receive a consolidated 80G certificate via email covering all your donations made through our platform in the financial year. Further, The corresponding 10BE form that proves your eligibility for the tax deduction will also be consolidated. This way, you won't have to worry about multiple downloads and can save time.
To qualify for tax exemption on your donations, you need to obtain a 10BE. This can be done by filing your 80G claims for donations made during the Financial Year (FY). You can download your 10BE from the ‘My Profile’ section by 31st May of the next FY and also receive it via email.
For example: if you made donations between April 2025 and March 2026 (FY 2025-26), you will get your 10BE by 31st May 2026, provided you need to claim the 80G for these donations.
Please note that you cannot claim 80G for donations made between April 2024 and March 2025 (FY 2024-25) anymore as the window for claiming it has closed. However, you can still get the 10BEs for that year if you made 80G claims on or before 31st July 2025.
Sometimes prices of the products change during the course of the campaign, we use these tips to cover the hike in prices and deliver the goods to NGOs.
