Join The Fight For Hunger With Chinu Kwatra, Feed 1000+ Slums Kids Daily

“All it took me was a birthday at the slum to realize how privileged some of us are. I went to celebrate my day with the kids there, and you know how much it cost me to feed 100 malnourished children? Rs 3,500. That’s it. As a boy who had grown up seeing my mother struggling to afford to feed us, I knew what a meal could do for those kids. That was the start of Roti Ghar.” - Chinu Kwatra, Founder, Khushiyaan Foundation  

From wanting to end his life, he went on to dedicate it to the underprivileged 

In 2014, Chinu lost the love of his life to an accident, and attempted to end his life. When he failed, his mother reminded him of the unfulfilled dreams of the girl he lost, and he went on to build Khushiyaan Foundation. Today, the foundation has 200 staff members working alongside Chinu towards a developed and healthy India. Among their many projects is Roti Ghar - An initiative to provide every malnourished child in the slums one meal a day.

If there’s one thing that they have come to look forward to, it’s the sound of the van that brings them food. From Dal Chaaval to Misal Pav, the kids enjoy a tasty, nutritious menu

The team follows a dietician-prescribed menu that provides thousands of children with nutritious meals like dal chawal, pulav, kichdi and roti bhaji. But the week always ends with a ‘cheat day’ where they are served their favourite misal pav. Today, Roti Ghar feeds 1,000 slum children daily and 1200 weekly.

About the NGO: Khushiyaan Foundation was founded in 2017 by Chinu Kwatra with a simple mission—to create a healthier, cleaner, and more prosperous India. What started as a one-man initiative has grown into a movement with 200 passionate volunteers working to spread smiles and bring positive change. The foundation runs several impactful projects, including Roti Ghar, Beach Warriors, Project MARD, Mobile School, Project Paathshala, Project Boondh, Roti Ghar Animals, Home for Paws, Ananta Khushiyaan Welfare Centre, and Ananta Khushiyaan Niwas—all aimed at uplifting communities, protecting the environment, and supporting those in need.
