We at Hands That Heal Animal Care Foundation rescue animals from unfortunate situations and give them the necessary medical and rehabilitation care that they require. We provide care, nourishment and a loving home for abandoned, sick or injured pets or animals. We also work to find carefully screened well-matched homes. Our Founder Anamika Chowdhury started this foundation in 2017 but has been into animal welfare since the past 2 decades. Hand That Heal. Animal Care Foundation works towards the well-being of animals no matter big or small.

Today, there are about 500+ rescued animals that are under our care. We’ve recently moved to a bigger place as our existing place was falling short due to more animals coming in! This Pandemic has not only taken its toll on us financially but also emotionally, with so many animals being abandoned and in a sorry state. Taking care of such a large family also is a huge task but we do it with all our heart.

About the NGO 

Hands That Heal Animal Care Foundation

Started in 2017, Hands that Heal Animal Care Foundation is a shelter for destitute and injured animals. Located outside Panvel near Karnala Bird Sanctuary. HTH provides care, nourishment and a loving home for abandoned, sick or injured pets and animals. 

1. Currently there are around 500+ animals under our care at the shelter. This incudes rescued dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, cows, goats etc.

2. We also take in wild animals like injured monkeys and kites with the permission of Karnala  forest officers and release them back once they are healed.

3. We have volunteers across Mumbai and Pune who help us with the rescues.

4. HTH has an operation theatre where minor surgeries like sterilization of dogs and cats are conducted.

5. We also provide medical treatment to injured animals.
