Celebrate The Divine Spirit Of Maha Kumbh By Feeding Lakhs Of Devotees And Sadhus

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

For millions of devotees, the Maha Kumbh Mela is more than an event—it is a divine calling that brings them to Prayagraj every 12 years. Starting on 13th January 2025, this once-in-a-lifetime gathering will witness over 40 crore devotees coming to take a dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati river. For them, a single dip in these waters is not just a ritual—it is a step toward washing away sins, finding peace, and seeking divine blessings. This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela is truly special, as it occurs once every 144 years. It marks the 12th Kumbh Mela and coincides with a rare celestial alignment of the sun, moon, and Jupiter.

Amid this ocean of faith are the sadhus—those who have given up everything worldly—and countless devotees who undertake this journey of hope and devotion. They endure long roads, hunger, and challenges, their hearts filled with unshakable belief in the power of this sacred moment.

Sadhus And Devotees: Journeys Of Sacrifice

The sadhus will walk for days, barefoot and barely clothed, through biting winters and scorching days, with little to eat or drink. For them, this journey is an act of ultimate devotion—a testament to their sacrifice for the divine.

But they won’t be alone in their hardships. Devotees too will travel great distances, leaving behind the comfort of their homes, braving freezing nights, and battling hunger just to seek the blessings of the sacred confluence.

By the time they reach Prayagraj, both sadhus and devotees will be weary and starved, their bodies drained but their faith unshaken. For them, nourishment will be more than a necessity—it will be a blessing.

Will You Help Feed Them?

Without support, many sadhus and devotees will go hungry at the Maha Kumbh. The Hare Krishna Movement is organizing a mobile food van to ensure that no one—neither the sadhus who dedicate their lives to spirituality nor the devotees who make this sacred pilgrimage—goes hungry.

From 13th January to 26th February 2025, they aim to serve lakhs of free meals to sustain the sadhus and devotees who gather at this holy event. With your help, we can provide them with the strength to pray and immerse themselves in this divine experience without the burden of hunger.

Every Meal Is An Act Of Faith

By donating groceries and fresh vegetables, you’re not just giving food—you’re offering gratitude to the sadhus who have given up everything in pursuit of divinity and supporting the devotees who have come to wash away their sins. You can also give them warm blankets to fight the harsh winters.

This is more than charity—it’s an act of devotion. It’s a way to honour those who nurture our faith and seek blessings for themselves and their loved ones. Join the Pure Devotion Foundation in feeding the sadhus and devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
