    Project

The dark underbelly of our society today constitutes thousands of sick, old, and destitute elderly people who are abandoned on our roads, starving, and doomed to dying an undignified and unknown death. We, the GOOD SAMARITAN's INDIA, a Hyderabad, India, based NGO have taken an initiative to help such people live a dignified life in their sunset years, and to die peacefully amongst those who value human life. Love and support are what these unfortunates need…When society abandons them, we take care of them.

During the Pandemic 2020-2021 , we have rescued over 400 people from the streets, and will be rescuing more in the coming months. We now need your help to get grocery items to make fresh meals for all these people. They have no one - you are their only hope now.Your involvement, and a small commitment to spare some time, show empathy, concern, and to provide help to those who are weak, starving and unwanted, can make the last years of these people better.

Help them, and therefore the society by so helping you also help send out a message that old parents are to be taken care of, and not to be left to die on roads! Old age will come to all.Good Samaritans India receives best NGO award by Telangana State Government

    About NGO

    A. I. George Rakesh Babu started Good Samaritans India in March – 2011, It is a Destitute center for old age people. In simple words, the destitute are those people who cannot survive by themselves. They are those people who are neglected and are not looked upon. These people lack even the necessities of life, due to which they give up on life and struggle to live. We are the first trust in Hyderabad to rehabilitate these abandoned elderly to home, provide them free medical assistance, and take care of all their needs. Also, we are the only trust to take care of bedridden older people and amounts to giving them a life of dignity in their last years.

We are a tiny group of people who are hands-on in this activity. Medically trained, they also provide primary care and run a small free pharmacy as well. The Trust offers various rehabilitation programs depending on the needs of people. Some of these programs include Occupational rehabilitation, Physical rehabilitation, Aquatic rehabilitation, and Cognitive rehabilitation.

We have rescued around 4000 destitute to date from the roads. The trust also initiates to take care of migrants in government hospitals and tries to reunite them with their families. We successfully managed to reunite more than 2000 migrants with their families and performed the last rites with the dignity of around 1500 destitute. We have three destitute homes in Hyderabad, the other two in Jangaon and Warangal, Telangana. Apart from this, the trust also engages in various social awareness activities and plans to expand its services to many parts of India.
