Over 6500 Cows Will Get A Comfortable Life With Your Support, Donate To Help Them

We often see cows that are old or are abandoned because they cannot be taken care of. These cows have nowhere to go and often risk their lives in accidents or by being victims of slaughterhouses. This is where Gaushalas come in.

This Gaushala in Jiyaguda is an initiative by Shri Sadguru Samartha Narayana Ashram. They’ve been working for many years to help give these injured cows, abandoned cows, and aged cows a better life in the Gaushala. 

The entire Ashram believes that nature and humans should co-exist in pure harmony

Shri Prabhu Dutt Maharaj of the Gaushala strongly believes in respecting the nature that has been supporting us from times unknown. The gaumatas are an important part of the nature and Maharaji ji urges all of us to work towards their welfare. 

They have over 6500+ cows and they have to feed them around 45,000 to 50,000 kgs of fodder each day. Many of the cows here are brought by the volunteers. This is an initiative that helps the Gaushala strive towards becoming self-sustainable. The cows are given clean water to drink and always have a veterinarian on site to help with any medical problems. The cows that fall sick also have a dedicated area in the Gaushala. 

“We also promote Vegetable Seva for the cows every week. This way, the cows are fed a mixture of nutritious vegetables and food. In our own way, we try hard to give these gaumatas the life they deserve. We believe with love and compassion, we would be able to help them,” - Shri Prabhu Dutt Maharaj.

While the gaushala was heavily dependent on donations from kind-hearted people, the pandemic has made things really difficult. They are struggling every day to feed the 6500+ cows and give them a life of comfort. They need your help now.
