Story of the campaigner
The GLC Home was started with 5 children in the year 2011 in a rented building at Ayanavaram Chennai. At Present we have 15 children are taken from a poor back ground and selected without any discrimination of caste, color, religion and creed.
They are trained to attain the capacity to stand on their own leg at the time they leave our home. We do children Development programs like conducting free tuition centers, forming children clubs. Our main project of DLMCT is to run a children home called Greater Love Children Home.
Our Vision is to uplift poor & needy people from urban & rural areas to bring out sustainable development by implementation of various community programs. Our Mission is to empower, rehabilitate & to uplift lives, especially the poorer of the poor by providing quality services through education training, skill development, medical, social & spiritual activities.
Future plan is to have a place of our own with good infrastructure to run the orphanage , start a vocational skill training center to achieve stable & steady progress of the children & Women, start a home for girls and cost for starting a home for deprived girls.
Apart from that we are involving into the community development programs also, like awareness on various communicable diseases, Malnutrition, Child marriage, Women Empowerment and Employment, in addition, that our home children parents are very illiterate and economically backward, so we make various efficient schemes and model for them to take them to next level of their life.
About NGO
Greater Love Children Home mainly focuses on the Holistic Child Development model, we have taken children from various areas in and around the district who really need basic needs to live. Past 8 years we have taken almost 35 children and provided education, shelter, food, Health facilities, Vocational training, Relationship management and Behavior modification for them. We can assure each child comes out of our home, He will be a responsible and dedicated individual in this society. So that many social activists and Professional Social Workers all over Tamilnadu refer children to our home.
