Partner With Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust To Improve The Lives Of Elderly Citizens In India

    Project

There is a quiet group of people society rarely talks about — elderly men and women who have no family, no income, and no one to rely on. Many of them were abandoned in their final years. Some lost their families long ago. Others were pushed out because they became “inconvenient” to care for. Today, they live in small rented rooms, weak shelters, or community spaces that barely protect them from heat, rain, or cold.

We are raising funds for these orphaned elderly individuals, people who have reached an age where they should be resting and living with dignity, but instead struggle for food, warmth, and safety every single day.

    Why We Are Raising Funds
The needs here are not complicated. They are not luxuries. They are basic requirements for survival:
    • Many old men and women eat only once a day because they cannot afford groceries.
    • Some spend nights without blankets, even in harsh winters, using thin sheets or old clothes to keep warm.
    • Increasing age means they cannot work, cannot walk long distances, and cannot stand in long charity lines.
    • Medical vulnerability makes proper nutrition and warmth essential — cold winds and empty stomachs are dangerous at their age.
We’re raising funds because these elders deserve more than just “survival.” They deserve comfort.

    They deserve dignity.
They deserve warmth and food without begging.
    Where Your Support Will Go
Transparency matters. Every contribution will go directly to these specific needs:
    1. Nutritious Food Packs Each food pack will include:
    • Rice
    • Wheat flour
    • Dal
    • Oil
    • Salt & basic spices
    • Vegetables / fruits (depending on availability)
These packs will last 10–15 days per person.
    2. Warm Blankets & Winter Essentials Every elderly person will receive:
    • A high-quality winter blanket
    • A warm shawl or sweater
    • A sleeping mat if required
These items are critical during winter months to prevent cold-related illnesses.
    3. Emergency Support A small portion of the funds will cover urgent needs such as:
    • Medicines
    • Doctor visits
    • Slippers or basic clothing
    • Shelter repairs if someone is living in unsafe condition
Every rupee spent will be documented, and updates will be provided so supporters can see exactly how their contribution is used.

    An Honest Appeal to Supporters
    Before donating, understand this clearly:
You are not giving charity — you are giving someone a reason to live with dignity.
A blanket may seem normal to us, but to an elderly person sleeping on a cold floor, it is protection from illness.
A food kit may seem simple, but to someone who hasn’t had a full meal in days, it is life-changing.
These elders cannot fight for themselves. They cannot stand outside shops for leftovers.

They depend on people who still have compassion.
If you want your support to create real, measurable impact — this is that opportunity.
    Help us give them food.
    Help us give them warmth.
Help us give them the respect they deserve.
Your contribution doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be real.

    Thank you for your kindness.
    Regards,
Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust

    FAQs

Donatekart is India's one of a kind crowdfunding platform that allows donors to directly donate towards products that are required by the NGO. In the last 5 years, we have partnered with 3000+ NGOs all over India to raise 300+ crores worth of products. More than 10 lakh unique donors have used our platform to donate to charities of their choice. As a donor, you are guaranteed 100% transparency - after you donate towards the products, you will receive an update from the campaigner.

After you complete your donation successfully, you will find the 'GET 80G' button on the payment success page. Please fill in your PAN number, complete address, and name as per PAN and submit. Your 80G certificate will be generated and sent via email within 24 hours.

Alternatively, you can get your 80G receipt in a few simple steps:

    1. Log in to your account using the same email ID you used for the donation
    2. Go to ‘My Donations’
    3. Choose the financial year for which you'd like the donation certificate
    4. Click on ‘Download 80G Certificate’
    5. Fill out the Form (if required)
    6. Submit the form and 80G will get downloaded instantly

Instead of receiving separate 80G certificates for each donation, you'll receive a consolidated 80G certificate via email covering all your donations made through our platform in the financial year. Further, The corresponding 10BE form that proves your eligibility for the tax deduction will also be consolidated. This way, you won't have to worry about multiple downloads and can save time.

To qualify for tax exemption on your donations, you need to obtain a 10BE. This can be done by filing your 80G claims for donations made during the Financial Year (FY). You can download your 10BE from the‘My Profile’ section by 31st May of the next FY and also receive it via email.

For example: if you made donations between April 2025 and March 2026 (FY 2025-26), you will get your 10BE by 31st May 2026, provided you need to claim the 80G for these donations.

Please note that you cannot claim 80G for donations made between April 2024 and March 2025 (FY 2024-25) anymore as the window for claiming it has closed. However, you can still get the 10BEs for that year if you made 80G claims on or before 31st July 2025.

Sometimes prices of the products change during the course of the campaign, we use these tips to cover the hike in prices and deliver the goods to NGOs.

Tip is a voluntary contribution towards our platform and donors can choose to give any amount as tips.
