Support Ek Ehsaas Foundation To Help Old People

One of the most heartbreaking sights is watching the elderly begging on the streets, having not eaten for days and spending their nights on the cold pavement. Most of them have been abandoned by their families because of their age or illness and have nowhere else to go. Without a roof over their heads, not even a handful of food and no loved ones to care for them, what quality of life can they possibly live in their last years?
However, there’s hope -  Philomena’s Paradise, a home for destitute senior citizens along the border of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh started by Reena Charles.

Reena Charles’ Noble Efforts Have Impacted Countless Lives

‘Ehsaas nahi, toh kuch bhi nahi’ (without realization, there is nothing) is what Reena Charles strongly believes in. It is with this philosophy that the renowned Educationist and Social Entrepreneur started Ek Ehsaas Foundation. Her relentless efforts to create an impact and contribute to the betterment of society have impacted countless lives. Ek Ehsaas Foundation has six programs ranging from hunger, education, clothing and including Philomena’s Paradise.

‘Samtripti’ is a campaign against hunger, the ‘Vidhya’ initiative aims to spread basic education to children and adults, ‘Poshaak’ helps deprived sections of society get clothes, ‘Marhamm’ is a counseling healing service and Ek Ehsaas Motivational Academy conducts a wide variety of workshops and activities.

Through Philomena’s Paradise, we want to take care of elderlies who have been abandoned, are battling diseases, are lonely, or have no roof over their heads. Started in 2018, Philomena’s Paradise can shelter 12 senior citizens, who are looked after with utmost love, care, and compassion. Reena Charles has converted her own home into an old age home and looks after the residents for free. She conducts workshops on anger management, team building, etc in schools and colleges and uses her earnings for the Foundation’s initiatives.

Ek Ehsaas Foundation promotes the values of love, sacrifice, and service. Hence, the old age home is a Tyagarchana Shanti Bhavan. Tyagarchana means sacrificing what you love for the service of God and mankind, and all the residents abide by these values too.
