Since 1988, Punjab Faces The Worst Flood. Support The Victims Of Punjab Flood Rebuild Their Lives

On August 26–27, 2025, relentless monsoon rains brought unprecedented floods to Punjab, submerging more than 1,300 villages and leaving over 2.5 lakh people struggling to recover. Homes, farms, and essentials were swept away, displacing thousands of families and leaving communities in urgent need of support.

In villages across Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Ferozepur, Amritsar, and beyond, families like Manpreet Kaur’s have lost almost everything. “Our home was washed away overnight, and we have nothing left but hope,” she shares, echoing the uncertainty of many who are still seeking safety, shelter, and a return to normal life.

More than 9,000 houses have been damaged or destroyed, with essential supplies and livelihoods lost in the deluge. As water recedes, the need for safe homes, food, hygiene, and reconstruction has never been greater. Volunteers, neighbors, and aid groups are doing their best, but the challenge is immense.

What Punjab’s Flood Survivors Need Now

• House reconstruction: Building and repairing homes to restore family security

• Ration kits: Grains, pulses, oil, and essentials to feed displaced families

How The Kalgidhar Trust Is Helping
