Over 4+ Lakh Affected In The Devastating Assam Floods. Donate Immediate Relief for the Victims.
Project
Assam is reeling under one of the worst flood disasters in recent memory. Relentless monsoon rains have submerged entire villages and washed away homes, leaving over 4 lakh people across 20 districts displaced and desperate for help. Rivers like the Brahmaputra, Barak, and Kushiyara have overflowed, breaching embankments and flooding low-lying areas.
At least 36 lives have been lost in Assam and nearby states, and many more are missing. Districts such as Cachar, Nagaon, Hojai, Karimganj, and Dibrugarh are among the worst-hit. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, 175 villages are underwater. People have been forced to abandon everything and flee to safety with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
“The water came in the middle of the night. We grabbed the children and ran. Our home, food, even our cattle – all gone,” says Anita Das, a mother from Nagaon now sheltering in a relief camp with her two young daughters.
More than 10,000 people have taken refuge in 52 relief camps, but countless others are still stranded or living in makeshift shelters. Crops have been destroyed, and with roads and bridges damaged, many areas remain cut off from urgent help.
“I used to sell vegetables. Now I have nothing. How will I feed my family?” asks Abhijit, a daily-wage worker in Karimganj who hasn't had a full meal in days.
With heavy rainfall predicted in the coming days, the situation is only expected to worsen. Power outages, food shortages, and the risk of waterborne diseases are creating a humanitarian emergency on a massive scale.

And we remain committed to doing it again. With your help, we can reach the worst-hit areas swiftly and bring life-saving aid to those who need it the most.
