The Future Of India Is Starving, Help Donatekart Feed Thousands Of Poor Students

Sakshi* goes to school on an empty stomach every day. The little food that she and her siblings have to share at dinner is barely enough and before lunch she is hungry again. In the blistering heat of summer, little Sakshi goes to school and tries her best to pay attention in class. But her grumbling stomach and weakness stop her from doing the best she can.

This is not just Sakshi’s story, this is the story of thousands of underprivileged children whose parents are struggling to not only send them to school but also feed them healthy meals.

Donatekart's Relentless Efforts with On ground NGO Partner

To fight hunger and the lack of healthy and nutritious food for growing children, Donatekart's on ground NGO partner started a breakfast food distribution drive for students in Telangana in 2017.

More than 61% of children in India are malnourished. This is a serious concern. This program is a free breakfast scheme in government schools which will not give them fresh breakfast but also address the issue of malnourishment and help increase attendance in school, reduce dropout rates and help children focus better.

“There are some kids that have only tea for breakfast, and some who don’t eat anything. Feeding them is our duty. These are the future of our country, and they deserve to stay healthy, happy and start the school day on a positive note.”

Donatekart's on ground NGO is currently feeding more than 2000 children in Hyderabad, Telangana every day. And what’s more, all their meals are fresh and cooked and served in extremely hygienic conditions. For them, there’s nothing more important than the overall well-being of these innocent children.

After seeing the impact these meals have on the children, we want to reach out to many more children in need.

Their Feeding Programs Have Made A Huge Difference

The Bhojanamrita program supplies free food to all the attendants and workers in almost 15 hospitals around Hyderabad, on a daily basis. The Saddimuta Program is intended to serve Rs. 5/- meal for farmers and Hamalis in different market yards of Telangana State. The Program was initiated by your good self in Siddipet Market Yard, Gajwel Market Yard and Vantimamidi Market Yard.

Your Support Will Give These Kids The Life They Deserve

Donatekart's efforts across the country have been largely impactful, even during the devastating pandemic. They have gone out of their way to help people. Over a decade, they have served a total of over 13 crore meals to lakhs of people in need and countless lives have been changed by their efforts.
