Story of the campaigner
Dwarka Animal lovers group was formed five years back keeping to help street dogs and other animals of Dwarka and nearby areas. We kept doing rescues, assisting government agencies in ABC program and feeding those who needed us. We are committed to help these babies because they need us and we need them.
When we first heard about the lockdown our hearts started thudding. Everyone was thinking how these animals will survive but where there is a will there a way. We had a kitchen where we were making food for approximately 150 dogs so we step up and doubled the quantity. We also talked two more individuals who were feeding large number of dogs and we provided them with rice bags and other essentials. We offered the free cooked and dry dog food to the dedicated feeders and it worked. We are feeding 950+ dogs now. But we have limited resources and now our funds are hitting bottom ... we need you all to help is in feeding these voiceless. They all are fighting for survival and we need to give them chance ... don’t let them sleep hungry... don’t let old and weak die due to hunger ... with you we can feed them. Ek Roti Nandi ke... ek Roti gali ke Sheru ke ... kuch daane Chidiya ke or ek Dana cheeti ka ... No one should sleep hungry.
