Rohit, a 10-year-old boy who lived in a small village in India, belonged to a poor family that barely managed to make ends meet. They lived in a small mud house that had no proper insulation or heating, and they had very few warm clothes to protect them from the cold.

Rohit had to walk to school every day, and the freezing wind made it hard for him to even take a step. His hands and feet were numb, and his thin clothes were hardly any protection against the biting cold. Despite these challenges, Rohit was determined to continue going to school. However, he soon fell terribly ill, and his condition only got worse. His poor parents couldn’t afford to take him to the doctor. Fortunately, Rohit’s teacher found out about his condition and was able to help him. 

This is not just Rohit’s story, but that of thousands of poor children across the country. The winters are an extremely difficult time for these kids and affect their overall well-being. How many more Rohit’s have to suffer without help?
