Story of the campaigner
We work with the vision that our children and women will achieve their fullest potential. They should get all the opportunities, and more importantly, they should be able to make use of those opportunities. In 2015, we conducted skill-building classes for girls in Darbaripur village. Our current focus is on providing education to children from marginalized communities. We educate children and prepare them to get admission to school as per their education level and age. Once the children are admitted to school, we help them with remedial classes.
We started with one school in September 2020 with 150 children. Currently, we have two schools and the third one is starting in November 2021 because of the immense need. Total enrolment is 300 children and in the new school has already has 100 children.
We focus on the all-around development of children and our children participate in painting and singing competitions and win prizes. We are also working on creating awareness about child abuse amongst parents and children. Children are regularly taught about unsafe and safe touch. We are creating awareness about menstrual hygiene amongst young girls and mothers.
The reality of these children in the country
These children miss out on every opportunity to live a nourishing childhood, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Less than half of children between the ages of 6 and 14 go to school in the country. As these children grow, they are less likely to support themselves fully or become contributing citizens to the country. What they need is some support to show an interest in education as it is mostly a luxury they cannot afford otherwise.

The Bright Orange Foundation is a small endeavor to provide an opportunity to those from marginalized communities, with a special focus on women and children, so that they can realize their full potential and all their dreams.
