Victor Is Changing The Lives Of 250+ Children With HIV & Leprosy, Support His Mission

Victor Parisipogula hasn’t had an easy childhood. Growing up in a children’s home, he’s seen pain, loss, and suffering up close. He navigated life without his parents and learned to fend for himself the hard way. However, it’s this very experience that shaped him into the kind, giving and compassionate person that he is today.
“My wife Mary and I had similar childhoods and can never forget how much we struggled. Together we decided that we would do anything to make sure no other child suffers as much as we did. There are thousands of children in India going through some of the most unimaginable challenges at such a young age, and we want to be their ray of hope,” - Victor Parisipogula, Founder, Brighter Future Development Trust
Victor and Mary have dedicated their lives to helping orphaned and underprivileged children suffering from leprosy, HIV/AIDS and filaria for more than two decades now. They’ve touched the lives of so many kids so far and believe that no child should be defined by their disease.
They Have Fought Relentlessly For These Children’s Rights
Victor and Mary Parisipogula started Brighter Future Development Trust in 2002 to give children with leprosy, HIV/AIDS and filaria a better life. They look after hundreds of kids in six shelter homes in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa and give them food, education, and shelter. They currently look after 250 orphaned and tribal children in Orissa & Andhra Pradesh. Many of whom have leprosy and are HIV positive.
“When I started looking after children with HIV, I didn’t know much about the condition. All I knew was the stigma attached to it. But I learnt a lot and slowly understood their needs. Besides the lack of access to medical facilities, many of these children had no access to education because no one wanted their children to study with a child who is HIV+. So I decided to start my own school for them. However, I’ve seen how society’s understanding and attitude have changed over the years. We have a long way to go, but it’s a step in the right direction.”
Victor has adopted over 6 villages in Orissa & Andhra Pradesh and looks after the needs of the children there. From fresh meals to night classes, he wants to leave no stone unturned for their wellbeing.
“The families in these villages are so poor. Sometimes they earn 100 rupees and some days they have no work at all. Their children suffer from malnutrition and other conditions and have little access to medical facilities. Under these circumstances, how can these children even dream of having a better life?”
250+ Poor Kids In Orissa Can Have The Life They Deserve
Victor and Mary now need your support to give 250 children in Orissa’s & Andhra Pradesh's poorest villages food, hygiene products, medicines and clothes - all of which they have no means of getting on their own.
“We’ve seen so many of the children we’ve helped go on and become independent, and that’s what makes us proud. When you come to any of our shelters, you won’t know which child has what condition - we don’t differentiate or define them by this. They all deserve love, care and kindness equally and we need your help to do this.”

Started by Victor and Mary Parisipogula in 2002, Brighter Future Development Trust is a Non- denominational Social charitable Organisation committed to the relief of distress and poverty caused by Leprosy, Disability, Filaria and HIV/AIDS to sufferers of these diseases and their children. They tackle the underlying causes of ostracism, deprivation and poverty, with compassion and respect, empowering sufferers and their children to become active participants and not merely passive recipients.
