Help Tanya Feed 200+ Cats In Her Shelter And Rescue Many More In Need
Project
17 years ago, a stray cat chose Tanya Singh, and in turn, Tanya chose a life dedicated to saving countless others. When the world faced a crisis, countless strays were struggling to survive. While others addressed the needs of some, Tanya saw a heartbreaking gap - cats, left to fend for themselves, were silently suffering. Fueled by compassion, she founded the Paw Saviour Foundation in Delhi, NCR. Today, this NGO is a beacon of hope, rescuing hundreds of abandoned, injured, and forgotten felines.
Tanya built the Catshala to provide a safe home exclusively dedicated to cats
Catshala is a one-of-a-kind shelter in India dedicated to giving countless cats a better life. Spanning over 16,000 square feet, it is home to 200 rescued cats and can accommodate up to 500. Here, cats enjoy a natural habitat complete with a huge lawn, trees to climb, and wheat straw sheds to relax in.
Tanya and her husband pour their entire income into caring for the cats at Catshala. This isn't just a shelter; it's a sanctuary where each cat receives proper food and medical care. Sadly, many of these animals are abandoned at the gates of the NGO, left on the streets with terrible maggot wounds, and in desperate need of help. Some suffer from severe neurological conditions while others are unable to move after meeting with terrible accidents.
“Superstitions have caused so much pain to innocent cats. Every day, we see heartbreaking cruelty — a kitten tied to a bike and dragged until he died, a pregnant cat beaten so badly her babies were born too early and died in front of her. These are just a few of many stories. I will only stop when people stop hurting them.” - Tanya Singh, Founder, Paw Saviour Foundation.
Despite their efforts, Tanya and her team face significant challenges
Every day, Tanya receives over 25 rescue calls, with 2-3 cases often being critical. The foundation urgently needs a vehicle to respond to these emergencies, as well as food and medicines to continue providing the best care for the cats.
Join hands with Tanya and ensure that Catshala remains a beacon of hope for stray cats. Your donations will help build a safe world for these voiceless beings.
