AMTM, Mumbai, has been the voice of stray animals since May 22, 2010. The organization has rescued many sick and injured animals over the years, giving them a second chance at life. AMTM was awarded The Pawsitive People's Awards for "The Dedicated NGO" category. 

On July 2018, AMTM team started an ambitious campaign, to build a cageless sanctuary in Kolad to provide a decent home to all the strays. A home that they deserve.

Idea behind Kolad Sanctuary :

1. They believe animals are not supposed to be caged & should move around freely, so they wanted to make it a cage less sanctuary.

2. It accommodates all species of animals, birds & reptiles (one of the very few sanctuaries in the country with this facility)

3. It will have an 1. Animal Emergency Centre & Hospital, 2. Enough Space for animals to move around in harmony & 3. Stay facility for staff & visitors to take care of the animals 24X7.

   
   

Progress so far: 

• Presently, 1/4th of the boundary wall has been built.

• Lot of Plantation has been done.

• Few sturdy animal houses have been build to shelter animals & protect them from harsh weather.

  
  

What is the need of the hour? 

They need tonnes of construction material : 

• To build remaining 3/4th of the boundary wall. 

• To build a state of the art hospital & emergency care facility for injured & abused animals

• To build Dog enclosures, Cat enclosures, Recovery rooms for animals under treatment, Water tanks.

• To build a visitor & sensitisation centre for people to come & get familiar with animals.

Is AMTM a genuine organisation? 

Animals Matter To Me (AMTM), Mumbai is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in India with Registration number F-41718.  The organization has been working for animal welfare for the past 9 years and it has also been awarded the Pawsitive People’s Award for its transparency and efficiency. 

Where is the AMTM Kolad Sanctuary? 

The AMTM sanctuary is located in Vittalwadi, Maharashtra 402304.

The sanctuary is conveniently located about 120 to 150 km respectively from Mumbai and Pune. 

What will the construction material donate here used for? 

The construction material donated here, will be used to build an animal hospital, animal enclosures and remaining boundary wall  for thousands of stray dogs, cats and other animals. 

How can I know the progress of the project? 

You will receive regular updates from the NGO, made visible on the campaign page as an when a particular Phase of the projects gets completed. 

Can we visit the AMTM Centre? 

AMTM centre at Bungalow 13, 14, 15 Chikuwadi Road, Malad - Marve Rd, Malad West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400095 welcomes visitors from across the world. You can choose to visit, volunteer and be a part of the making of the sanctuary.
